At age 25, Hamish Bubner joined Fat Farmers Yorke Peninsula team in a bid to stay fit.
However, keeping active is not the main reason Hamish – a farm worker on the Yorke Peninsula – and his wife Linda have stuck around.
Hamish and Linda completed the 6km event alongside fellow Fat Farmers team member at the 2018 City-Bay fun run in September.
“I’ve always tried to keep fit and have been involved in sport,” Hamish said.
“The (gym) sessions are generally fun and everyone gets around it.”
Hamish trains with the Yorke Peninsula branch of Fat Farmers on Wednesdays.
“The comradery is great and it’s a social thing for me, getting to know people.
“The fitness side of things becomes almost a by-product.”
